Description:

Reporting to the Senior Operating Officer, the Senior Director is responsible for the strategic and operational management of four rural health facilities located in Banff, Lethbridge, and Medicine Hat. The Senior Director will set clinical direction for their program(s) in collaboration with physician dyad partners and where applicable will play a leadership role with the local community board. The Senior Director, Operations oversees key performance indicators, resolves operational issues at the program level and leads strategic planning for the program as well as managing all program resources (financial, human and physical). The position leads innovative program planning, monitors’ program performance, and creates a culture that encourages innovation, supports change and drives for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

A Master’s Degree in a related Health Sciences field is required. Must have at least 8 to 10 years progressively responsible experience in a managerial position in a related environment which includes financial and operational planning and staff supervision.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills. Proven planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills. Team building, problem solving and conflict resolution ability. Ability to promote group decision making in an interdisciplinary program management model. Ability to work collaboratively with Alberta Health Services and external partners.
