Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:One year experience as a professional seamstress or equivalent. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to sew/mend garments and use associated equipment. Pushing of up to 50 pounds (22.7 kg); required. Must be able to work in a busy and fast paced environment. Performs repetitive and routine tasks on a continuous basis. Exposure to noise. Significant periods of standing. Displays superior hand and finger dexterity while operating sewing machine. A yearly flu shot is strongly recommended.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of grade 12. Experience with industrial laundry equipment. Must be able to manufacture items with little wastage of material and supplies. Must possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadlines. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow directions and guidelines. Demonstrates high levels of honesty and integrity.
