Your Opportunity:

Reporting to a Senior Director of Operations, the Site Administrator is responsible for the operational and administrative management of a rural facility that includes acute care, emergency and ambulatory care, outpatient services and continuing care, and is a representative of Covenant Health within the local community.

Description:

The Site Administrator is responsible for: Working closely with staff and site physician partners to set clinical direction, champion quality improvement and client safety, and monitor performance and trends in order to drive continuous improvement within the facility. Providing leadership in collaboration with facility integrated services, primary health care partners and organizational colleagues. Managing all financial, human and physical resources of the facility, overseeing key performance indicators and resolving operational issues at the unit, program, and site level. Serving as the first point of contact for the Community Board and Ladies Auxilians. Supporting local Foundation Board by attending events and local fundraising initiatives. Engaging local community leaders and attending community events. Informing and working closely with local area officials, Mayors, Town Councilors, Reeves and MLAs. Collaborating with Corporate Directors to ensure site integrity. Engaging in physician recruitment and retention, and supporting replacement physicians (locums). Working collaboratively with portfolio colleagues including participating in rural on call. As this position is the face of the organization in the community served, the Site Administrator will uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of Covenant Health in all aspects of the role, ensuring a focus on the strategic direction and priorities of the organization. Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in health care discipline or business/administration required.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of eight (8) years progressive health care management experienced required. Demonstrated experience in operational planning, quality improvement and leadership. Experience at a senior level in health care administration within a multi-union environment. Experience in the rural acute and continuing care sector. Experience in financial accountability. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and computer literacy. Commitment to Covenant Health Mission and Values.


Preferred Qualifications:

Proven skills in management, program leadership and personal development, problem solving, group facilitation, operational and strategic planning and quality improvement. Ability to respond in an innovative way to the evolving nature of health care. Ability to provide leadership and function as a team member to achieve shared goals. Strong organizational, change management and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrates commitment to continuous learning within own leadership and with staff.
