Your Opportunity:

The Site Utilization Manager works collaboratively with staff and physicians from all site programs and services and within the Zone to facilitate patient access and flow by coordinating patient transfers, requests for admission or medical consultations. Critical thinking, problem solving and conflict resolution are key attributes of this position.


Reporting to the Program Manager, Integrated Access, the Site Utilization Manager works collaboratively with staff and physicians from all programs and services within the Zone to facilitate access to inpatient beds by coordinating patient transfer requests for admission or medical consultations. The Site Utilization Manager helps to organize and coordinate patient throughput in accordance with site utilization management protocols/tools, staffing guidelines, consultant protocols, infection control guidelines, medical necessity criteria, and service/unit admission discharge criteria. The successful candidate will facilitate problem solving and conflict resolution on issues regarding bed management and patient placement and will have the authority to make decisions within bed management protocols and staff guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a Nursing Baccalaureate program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with CARNA. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent assessment and organizational skills.

Additional Required Qualifications:

As Required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Five years of clinical leadership experience preferred. Critical Care or Emergency nursing experience preferred. Bed Management experience preferred.
