Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Social Work program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills are required. Proven conflict resolution and strong communication skills are required. Must be able to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking skills is required. Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive assessments to individuals within their physical and social environments is required. Must be able to cope with high levels of stress, fluctuating priorities, and time sensitive deadlines. Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting or standing as well as repetitive movements. Must be able to participate in hands on psychosocial assessment of patients and families.

Preferred Qualifications:

Three years' experience and demonstrated skills in acute and/or palliative care. Experience and demonstrated skills in dealing with end of life and complex family issues preferred. Experience with family, individual and groups interventions.
