Graduate of a Social Work program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Position may include significant periods of time sitting while interviewing patients/families, on the phone or at a computer. Frequent need to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; as well as the frequent need to concentrate on precise and detailed work. Will be required to participate in sensitive and challenging patient situations and expected to deal with the public in diverse situations. Must be able to tolerate psychologically stressful situations and high amounts of pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:The successful candidate must have experience and comfort with apprehensions of newborns, stillbirths, Mental Health and addictions, domestic violence, and rapid assessments and discharges. Preference will be given to candidates with direct work experience and responsibility for full caseload in Women's Health, NICU, and/or Children's Services.
