A minimum of a diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is required. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Three (3) to five (5) years human resources, benefits, or payroll experience required. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Recruitment Management Systems required. Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) required. Demonstrated group presentation and group facilitation skills required. Experience in the administration of collective agreements and related legislation (e.g. Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP), Employee Standards).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Experience in a unionized environment required. Experience in report generation required. Website experience required. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and listening skills required. Commitment to participate in a collaborative team environment. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Must be detail oriented and be flexible in managing variable and unpredictable situations. Ability to work in a fast pace and demanding environment with tight timelines and quick turnaround times. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues and concerns while maintaining discretion, diplomacy and tact. Ability to translate complex information or system functionality into simple and effective training programs, system documentation, procedures and/or other materials. A standard driver's abstract may also be required for use of corporate lease vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications:
Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) designation and membership with Human Resource Institute of Alberta preferred. Healthcare experience is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in a co-operative, respectful, and sensitive manner with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including all levels of the organization. Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
