Required Qualifications:

Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Three (3) to five (5) years human resource experience including report generation, data analysis and collective agreement interpretation. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, PeopleSoft and the Recruitment Management System. Must be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) in a co-operative, respectful, and sensitive manner.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to translate, explain & document complex information or system functionality into simple and effective training programs and materials. Demonstrated group presentation and group facilitation skills. Working knowledge of Covenant Health Mission, Vision and Value, systems, policies and processes, and general office policies and procedures. Knowledge of collective agreements and related legislation (e.g., Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP)). Demonstrated excellence in customer service. Demonstrated ability to handle issues and concerns while maintaining discretion, diplomacy and tact. Ability to maintain composure while dealing with frustrated/upset employees and managers and ensuring their issues are resolved within tight deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, exercise sound judgement, and be extremely flexible in managing multiple interruptions as well as variable and unpredictable situations. Strong commitment to work collaboratively. Strong attention to detail focusing on being thorough and accurate. Excellent detailed analytical and problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of advanced training/certification in Adult Education Chartered Professional in Human Resource (CPHR) designation and membership with CPHR Alberta. Healthcare experience.
