Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology is required. Member in good standing of the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Current Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) certification. Ability to be independent in adult communication assessment and treatment of the acute adult stroke population. Ability to adapt quickly to the frequent fluctuations in the demands of the acute care environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with neonatal clinical feeding and swallowing assessment and treatment. Experience with clinical applications: NUANCE, Alberta Netcare Portal, VAX, Medworxx. Independently able to administer, interpret and report results of instrumental dysphagia assessment.
