Your Opportunity:

The Student Placement Coordinator - Clerk V, provides skilled and knowledgeable assistance to support the Student Placements & Academic Relations Lead and is responsible for managing and facilitating Practice Education requests that provide clinical and non-clinical experiences to meet the educational needs and requirements for health and non-health academic programs. The Student Placement Coordinator - Clerk V, acts as a liaison to match the needs of students and instructors to Covenant Health facilities which can provide appropriate learning experiences. As a super user of HSPnet (clinical placement database), the Clerk V, Student Placement Coordinator arranges and facilitates placement requests for approximately 4000+ students annually. Please note: Classifications Under Review.


The Clerk V performs advanced/specialized program support to a department or program. This role requires the application of specialized skills and/or inscope leadership for a small group of program staff within the department.

Required Qualifications:

A related post-secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have at least three (3) years related experience in a fast-paced environment which includes working with large, complex software or database applications, high standard of internal and external customer relations, critical thinking and adept problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with an understanding of academic health care programs and related curriculum and have experience using Health Sciences Placement Network (HSPnet) are preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
