Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 diploma. Completion of a two-year Food Service Management course or equivalent management training. Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a supervisory capacity in a unionized health care setting of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Experience in employee scheduling, conducting customer satisfaction surveys and quality audits, customer relations. Food Safe Certificate. Note: an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Effective communication and organizational skills within a fast-paced, time sensitive work environment. Displays a high degree of accuracy and attention to details. Demonstrated ability to contribute and function as part of a team. Proficient in office procedures and computer applications in Windows including work processing, spreadsheets, data bases, email, and the internet. Demonstrated ability to apply leadership skills appropriate to the situation displaying flexibility in decision making and conflict resolution. The ability to demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development.


Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of two-year Food Service management course desired. Membership in CSNM. Knowledge and comprehension of dietary guidelines; working knowledge of collective agreements.
