Your Opportunity:

Description:

Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, supervision, and quality assurance of Support Services, including housekeeping, laundry, and food services. This position ensures that high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality are maintained in accordance with organizational policies, infection prevention standards, and provincial guidelines. The incumbent provides leadership to frontline staff, supports staff development, monitors performance, and fosters a positive and respectful workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of housekeeping, laundry, and/or food services departments. Schedule and assign staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow. Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection control standards. Provide orientation, training, coaching, and ongoing performance feedback to staff. Participate in hiring, attendance management, and performance evaluation processes. Maintain accurate records (cleaning schedules, temperature logs, audits, etc.). Liaise with other departments to support resident care and overall site operations. Support implementation of policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives. Order and manage inventory of supplies and equipment within budget parameters. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and customer service excellence. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications:

Required Grade 12 diploma. Completion of a 2-year Food Service Management course or equivalent management training.


Additional Required Qualifications:

WHMIS certification. Membership in: Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM). Canadian Association of Food Service Professionals (CAFP). Working knowledge of collective agreements. Food Safe Certification. 2+ years supervisory; 3+ years healthcare-related experience. Scheduling, quality audits, customer relations. Office software (Windows, email, scheduling tools). Communication, organization, teamwork, time management. Dietary guidelines and food services terminology.


Preferred Qualifications:

WHMIS, CSNM/CAFP membership, collective agreement knowledge.
