Grade 12 (12) or a recognized equivalent. Must have five (5) years experience in Environmental Services (preferably in a hospital setting), with two years recent experience in supervisory capacity preferred excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work on own initiative, make decisions, and practice sound judgement. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Must have professional approach to work. Must be service oriented. Prepared to maintain current knowledge in housekeeping services and supervision. Must be able to do a lot of walking.
Additional Required Qualifications:As Required.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of supervisory coursework (CHA or equivalent) or diploma in Housekeeping Supervision, preferred; equivalencies may be considered. Completion of supervisory/management courses ; communication, supervision desired. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office required; experience in employee scheduling preferred. Equivalent combinations of experience and education will be considered.
