Certificate in Health Information Management or equivalent. Demonstrated path in leadership development. Member in good standing, Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA). Must have at least five years’ experience in all aspects and operation of large hospital Health Information Management Department, i.e. Working knowledge of clerical processes, access and disclosure requirements, ATD and chart management computer systems. Must also have at least two years supervisory experience as well as demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal relationship skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional health privacy or change management certification. Experience working with legislation pertaining to the Health Information Act and Hospital Act preferred. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, and client-focused orientation. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability in coaching and teaching, and the ability to motivate and inspire others. Demonstrated ability to manage change.
