Undergraduate degree in social sciences, health profession, management and/or business is required. A minimum of five years' experience in leadership in a complex health care setting or an organization of significant size (e.g. process improvement, project management and/or operational leadership).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Specialized expertise in planning methodologies, including quality improvement, project management and change management across teams and sites. Coordination experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation. Significant experience in problem solving, risk mitigation, concerns resolution, conflict resolution, and negotiation. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with leading a team, making decisions, coaching and teaching, and inspiring and building confidence in others in achieving results. Demonstrated ability to engage and foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influencing skills, interpersonal skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Ability to develop, facilitate and deliver education to transfer knowledge. Experience in facilitating research, reviews and analysis, evaluations, and formal report development. Demonstrated ability to facilitate significant change.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in health, business, leadership, policy, or social sciences. Certificate/education in health systems leadership, quality improvement, change management, project management. Extensive knowledge of surgical services. Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives. Equivalencies in education and experience may be considered.
