High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Six months recent related Switchboard experience required. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel) required. Excellent listening and comprehension skills. Broad knowledge of organizational interdependencies. Ability to respond in a direct, calm and professional manner to emergency and stressful situations including but not limited to
Preferred Qualifications:Working knowledge of medical terminology, with a medical terminology course, preferred. Emergency Communications Certificate is an asset. Experience in a hospital environment preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Emergency Code Condition calls, medical emergency calls and fire alarm calls. Knowledge of other hospital-use computer software (i.e. ESP, DataPulse, VAX) an asset.
