Required Qualifications:

Post-Secondary degree or other equivalent preparation/combination of education/experience. A minimum of 5 years progressive health care administration experience and systems knowledge. Above average understanding and experience with database design, programming and reporting. Record Management experience. Web content management systems design and maintenance. Project or program management skills & knowledge. Practical experience in strategy, policy development, leadership, change management and risk management. Demonstrated application of business planning, modeling concepts, and program and project management theories, principles and practices. Uses strategic thinking, taking into account long-term goals assessing options and implications.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Effective interpersonal, public relations, organizational, and facilitator skills. Strong client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Proven ability to foster partnerships and cooperation to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization and managing within a unionized sector that interacts with numerous public agencies, government, boards, committees and other partners. Strong Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and sound decision making skills; ability to use proper judgment while working independently under pressure within short timelines, without sacrificing quality. Strong communication (written and verbal). Must be flexible and able to determine priorities due to wide variety of responsibilities. Understand and manage complex procedural issues and address these issues in a comprehensive/strategic manner. A clear vision of the health system–strategic and creative thinker, taking into account long term goals assessing options and implications. Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the Covenant Health mission, vision and values.


Preferred Qualifications:

Extremely accurate and detail orientated and capable of managing multiple priorities while displaying a positive, professional demeanor. Ability to maintain a professional level of diplomacy, confidentiality and tact. Capable of functioning in an environment of complexity and change. Highly self-directed and motivated – problem solver and competent at decision making. Administrative and strategic creativity needed.
