Your Opportunity:
As a Therapy Assistant within our Occupational Therapy program at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents and clients. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will work under the clinical direction of Occupational and Physical Therapists and in close collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Resident Care Team. In this role, you will assist in providing Occupational and Physical Therapy services, implementing treatment plans, and ensuring therapies are delivered safely, effectively, and in alignment with established standards, protocols, and guidelines. Description: The Therapy Assistant is responsible for assisting in the delivery of therapeutic rehabilitation programs. The Therapy Assistant participates in assessment related activities as well as the planning and development of client programs which includes leading individual or group treatment and educational interventions. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: A directly related diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Highly organized, with excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office. Proven ability to collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:Physical Therapy Assistant Diploma. Connect Care experience. Recent clinical experience supporting therapeutic rehabilitation programs. Experience providing individual and group therapy and educational interventions. Committed to enhancing the care of residents with cognitive and physical impairment. Experience working in a Continuing Care setting. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C).
