Your Opportunity:

CGP Rec Therapy works to transition patients into preexisting community programming by working side by side with them to determine their interests and capabilities and then introducing them to the program and working to establish comfort and fit before discharge. Must be able to travel between various sites/locations; and may require the use of a personal vehicle.

Description: The Therapy Assistant is responsible for assisting in the delivery of therapeutic rehabilitation programs.  The Therapy Assistant participates in assessment related activities as well as the planning and development of client programs which includes leading individual or group treatment and educational interventions. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: A directly related diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Prior work with a geriatric population. Previous experience working with psychiatric illness. Strong ability to be client centered and flexible. You will be required to drive throughout the Edmonton area to meet with clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

Connect care training.
