Required Qualifications:

Must have a Certificate from a recognized training program which includes a practicum component.  A course in Medical Terminology is required.  Must have at least two to three years directly related experience.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Relevant experience in mental health care department with completion of a formalized unit clerk training program or equivalent. Knowledge of medical and psychiatric terminology required. Discretion and maintenance of confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Able to interact with mental health patients.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience as a unit clerk preferred. Typing skills an asset.
