Must have a Certificate from a recognized training program which includes a practicum component. A course in Medical Terminology is required. Must have at least two to three years directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:High school diploma. Related post-secondary certificate. Successful completion of medical terminology course. Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office. Minimum 35 WPM typing ability. Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, thrive in a fast paced, noisy and demanding environment. Proven understanding of medical tests including diagnostic imagining, medical procedures and surgical operations. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, occasionally walk short distances, lift up to 5kg Ability to spend majority of time in front of computer. Working knowledge of eFacilities, supply procurement, ePeople, Kronos, Netcare, Connect Care.
