Description:
The Unit Clerk performs a variety of duties in support of the health care team including processing physician orders and liaising with other departments. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 408 St. Joseph's Collective Agreement.

Must have a Certificate from a recognized training program which includes a practicum component. A course in Medical Terminology is required. Must have at least two to three years directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:As Required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in palliative care, hospice, or a related healthcare setting preferred. Recent experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as Connect Care. Preference will be given to applicants with a Unit Clerk course.
