We are currently recruiting for a Unit Manager for our Endoscopy and OR Recovery Room areas. This exciting opportunity exists for a proven leader who is looking for new challenges. Our 2 Suite Endoscopy with 8 bed recovery area is a fast paced outpatient clinic offering specialty GI procedures. The Recovery Room supports the main OR specializing in Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Orthopedics/Orthopedic Trauma, Urology, Gynecology and iRSM.


You will be responsible for providing leadership in the delivery of high quality patient care following Covenant Health’s Mission, Vision and Values. You will support the teams in coordinating daily operations, develop and recommend operational plans and support quality improvement initiatives. The Unit Manager will monitor and ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines and provide day to day supervision of staff within the unit. The successful incumbent will be energetic, enthusiastic and motivated, with a proven ability to manage teams effectively.

Required Qualifications:

Member in good standing with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required Minimum 2 years proven management experience leading teams required in an acute care setting. Evidence of excellence in leadership, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate of Nursing Degree required. Masters preferred. 5 years current, relevant acute care experience preferred. Experience as a nurse educator is an asset. Endoscopy and /or Perianesthesia Nursing certification preferred.
