Your Opportunity:
The Unit Manager is accountable to the Program Manager for the MCH and GNCH Ambulatory Service Clinics. This position oversees the planning and organizing of the day-to-day operations for the MCH Ambulatory Clinics. The unit manager is part of the greater Ambulatory and Rehabilitation Medicine Services leadership team and incorporates Covenant Health Mission, Vision and Values in all aspects of their work. You will provide Collaborative leadership and implement program direction with a diverse interdisciplinary team that promotes excellence in patient care and quality care standards and practices.
Description:
The Unit Manager is responsible for the day-to-day unit operation including direct supervision of Clinic staff within the Ambulatory Services Portfolio. This role interacts with all members of the interdisciplinary team including physicians, nursing staff, clerical, pharmacists, and other ancillary departments and interdisciplinary team members on a daily basis. The position facilitates and fosters interdisciplinary participation in patient care activities and coaches, mentors, motivates and empowers clinical staff. The Unit Manager creates a climate of interdepartmental respect and collaboration, and adheres and models the Covenant Health mission, vision and values. The responsibilities of this position are focused on four critical aspects of care and service: People and Teams; Access and Flow; Quality and Safety; and Efficiency and Resources. This position is non-unionized.

Graduate from a recognized Registered Nursing Program required / BSCN required. Previous health care leadership experience required (minimum of 2 years experience). Excellent Computer and office management and organizational skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with managing clinic information in Connect Care - preferred. Experience with electronic Central staffing - ESP - preferred. Experience with clinic review / audits / accreditation standards - preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to provide strong leadership direction and follow through for different clinic teams. Commitment to quality, safe, effective and ethical patient care and work practices.
