Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Unit Manager provides clinical leadership to ensure quality care within the department following unit policies, procedures and goals. The Unit Manager collaborates with site partners to facilitate patient flow, develops and recommends operational plans and supports/leads quality improvement initiatives. The Unit Manager is responsible for recruitment and staffing of the unit and monitors for compliance with budgetary guidelines.
Description:
The Unit Manager is responsible for the day-to-day unit operation including direct supervision of unit staff. This role interacts with physicians, nursing staff, other unit staff, and other departments and interdisciplinary team members on a daily basis and provides clinical support to patient/resident care by exception only. The position facilitates and fosters interdisciplinary participation in patient/resident care activities and coaches, mentors, motivates and empowers clinical staff. The Unit Manager creates a climate of interdepartmental respect and collaboration, and adheres and models the Covenant Health mission, vision and values. This position is non-unionized.

Graduation from a recognized nursing education program. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing. Current CRNA registration in good standing. BCLS-HCP certification required. Minimum 5 years of recent and relevant Emergency nursing experience. Minimum 2 years of leadership/supervisory experience. Charge nurse experience required.

Experience with a family and patient centered care model and a collaborative team-based approach. Proficient in a computerized environment including MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Management experience preferred. Leadership training preferred.
