Graduate of a recognized Pharmacy Technician Program. Minimum 5 years recent experience in a hospital pharmacy. Must have at least three years experience providing mentoring or leadership to Pharmacy staff. Registered with Alberta College of Pharmacy.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Able to integrate and apply technical knowledge in the day to day operation of the department. Demonstrated managerial competencies that include excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, problem solving, conflict resolution, analytical thinking, interpersonal and group management skills, change management, organization and project management skills. Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a Windows environment required. Must be able to maintain privacy, dignity, confidentiality and morale of all concerned. Demonstrated optimism and enthusiasm about the Pharmacy program with commitment to continuous quality improvement. Demonstrated customer service approach to pharmacy staff and site programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with GE Centricity pharmacy software an asset. Previous management experience.
