Completion of post-secondary education in a health care related field is required. (For example, Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, Clinical Equipment Specialist).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Requires advanced skills in the use of computer software programs for word processing and spreadsheet applications. Minimum 5 years progressively responsible experience related to Equipment Planning/Equipment Management in a health care setting is required. Demonstrated equipment planning management ability required. Understands and can work within complex politically sensitive situations effectively & confidentially. Strong communication skills; written, verbal and presentation. Strong organizational skills: ability to triage work; set priorities with the ability to multitask under pressure in a complex environment; ability to plan Demonstrated systems-thinking, critical analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and without direct supervision. Strong leadership skills working with diverse groups of people; demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders across a range of groups. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and handbooks required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management certificate/designation with minimum 3 -5 years’ experience is preferred. Oracle, and other Project Management Software experience. Knowledge of Covenant Health, Alberta Health Services, Alberta Infrastructure organizations an asset. Ability to provide guidance and leadership to clinical staff, support staff, external equipment vendors, architects, engineers, construction trades. Strong change management and financial skills; must demonstrate financial competency.
