Your Opportunity:
This position reports to the Unit Manager of the Misericordia Community Hospital Child Health Clinic and is responsible for performing a wide range of clerical duties needed to support the clinic flow and patient care activities. Responsibilities include managing numerous telephone lines and calls, maintaining accurate filing systems, greeting, checking in and directing families, visitors and allied health professionals. Booking appointments and coordinating communication for health care providers. Please note: Classifications Under Review.
Description:
The Clerk III provides a wide range of clerical support, with varying duties depending on the specified program/department. The Clerk III performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 2111 Collective Agreement.

High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:One year unit clerk or medical secretary course. Medical terminology course. Minimum one-year related experience in an ambulatory health care setting working directly with clients. Computer experience - proficiency in MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience working with Connect Care. Proven ability to work within a complex multidisciplinary team. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are essential. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling competing priorities with repeated interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with children in a clinical setting strongly preferred.
