Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Services: After Hours & Provider Support Services, the Clerk IV plays a key administrative role in supporting medical staff coverage across all Covenant Health facilities. This position is responsible for identifying scheduling gaps and coordinating appropriate Alternative Care Providers (ACPs) to ensure continuous clinical coverage. The Clerk IV manages all aspects of call schedule coordination, including gap tracking, provider assignment, and communication with clinical departments. In addition to scheduling responsibilities, the Clerk IV supports recruitment efforts by assisting with the onboarding process and preparing initial contracts for new providers. They oversee the execution and monitoring of contract agreements, including renewals, in coordination with relevant stakeholders. This role ensures timely and accurate payment for ACPs, processing payroll for employees and managing invoicing for non-employee providers through established accounts payable procedures. One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of Excel and skills in Access. Proficient in reporting and data analysis. Excellent organizational management skills. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in information provided and actions taken. Patience and professionalism in handling challenging situations with a calm and courteous demeanor. Effective team collaboration to work effectively with colleagues and other departments. Demonstrated proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and processing invoices. Strong attention to detail, coordination skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams
Preferred Qualifications:Experience of dealing with medical staff. Familiarity with the systems and processes for personnel management and payment.
