Your Opportunity:
Under limited supervision of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and in keeping with Covenant Health’s Mission and Values the incumbent provides courteous and professional customer service. The position is responsible for: Receipting and coding all monies acquired by the hospital into the financial system. Prepare bank deposits, reconcile and balance the petty cash float. Disbursing petty cash for non-purchase order payment requisitions. Respond to billing and payment inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Responsible for handling all safekeeping envelopes containing patient’s valuables. Please note: Classifications Under Review.

The Clerk IV provides complex clerical support. The Clerk IV performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 2111 Collective Agreement.

One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:High School Diploma required. Some post-secondary accounting / financial courses required. At least 2 years related Accounting / Cash office experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:As Required.
