Your Opportunity:
The Food Service Attendant I shall provide excellent customer service and is responsible for preparing, portioning, labeling and serving of all food and beverages while preserving standard of quality and freshness. The Attendant I is responsible for monitoring, merchandising, and maintaining the supply of all products in the store font. This position will complete payment transactions and be responsible for counting cash, making up floats, maintaining accurate cash records, posting daily menus, and monitoring cashier supplies. The Attendant I is responsible for the organization and cleanliness of all work areas and equipment, and they are to follow safe and sanitary practices when handling all food and supplies. The incumbent actively helps team members to complete all departmental tasks and participates in the training/orientation of new staff and students as well as performing other related duties, as required. Description:
The Food Services Attendant I portions, packages and/or serves food items according to menu, diet protocol, portion control and temperature standards within an acute care or continuing care setting. The position is also responsible for cleaning equipment, supplies and surfaces throughout the kitchen. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 2111 Collective Agreement.

Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of quantity food preparation techniques, safe food handling and sanitation procedures required. Must demonstrate the ability to do math calculations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to follow direction.
