Degree or diploma in information management, IT, or related field. Minimum 3 years’ experience in privacy or information security within healthcare.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of Alberta’s HIA, ATIA, and POPA legislation. Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and manage complex, unpredictable situations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Privacy and security incidents require rapid, thoughtful responses. You must apply critical thinking and legislative knowledge to guide staff and develop effective action plans. This role demands flexibility, composure under pressure, and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines. Travel between sites is required; a valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recognized privacy certification or information governance certification (e.g., CIPP/C, CIPM). Expertise in PIAs and risk management frameworks. Experience in complex healthcare or public sector environments. Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
