Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or other applicable degree required. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) is required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:5 years of current operating room experience in an acute setting required. Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary site team members and outside organizations/educational facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:Post Graduate Perioperative Course preferred. Operating Room Certification preferred (CPNc) Experience in program development/development of educational material essential. Previous leadership and mentoring experience preferred. Previous staff teaching in a healthcare setting preferred. Research skills preferred. Project work an asset. Excellent communication; verbal and written. Able to set priorities in a fast paced clinical environment. Conflict resolution skills.
