We are currently hiring for two casual positions and are seeking dependable, flexible individuals with strong, consistent availability. Our ideal candidates are dependable team members who can confidently step in for short notice shifts and who are ready to be consistently present when the team needs them most. We expect there to be a high volume of shifts available throughout the summer, which may result in close to full-time hours for those with a commitment to consistent scheduling. Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. The LPN works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Availability details must be clearly outlined in resume or cover letter (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and summer commitment). Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience in long-term care, subacute care, or hospice care. New graduates are welcome to apply. Demonstrated reliability with strong, consistent availability, including the ability to pick up short notice shifts. Connect Care experience. Dementia-specific education (e.g., Supportive Pathways or equivalent) grounded in person-centered care and responsive approaches to dementia-related behaviors.
