Your Opportunity:
The Maintenance Worker II performs repair, maintenance, and installation duties serving the La Crete Community Health Centre and Continuing Care Centre in La Crete, Alberta. This role supports the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of health care facilities, ensuring a comfortable and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Covenant Health currently has a Northern Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $6,300. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Travel Expense Reimbursement: Permanent and temporary employees working in excess of one (1) year whose work sites are above the 57th parallel are also eligible to receive an annual reimbursement of personal travel expenses to an annual maximum of $1,235. Eligible employees will be reimbursed for the cost of one (1) round trip, per calendar year, to any destination within Alberta. Travel must originate from a community above the 57th parallel to any destination within Alberta and cannot be carried over. Please note: Classification under Review.
Description:
As a Maintenance Worker II, you may perform a variety of skilled maintenance and repair work on patient and hospital equipment and intermediate mechanical systems to ensure safety and efficient operation of the building systems and equipment. You may utilize your maintenance skills and experience in the performance of preventative and demand maintenance within the exterior and interior of the building. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE General Support Services Collective Agreement.

Must have a 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate or equivalent experience 1 to 2 years related experience working in a computerized maintenance environment which includes operating and maintaining a variety of grounds keeping and building maintenance equipment and tools. Must have a valid Class 5 drivers license
