Covenant Health’s Organizational Design & Work Architecture team has an exciting opportunity for a Practice Lead, Job & Organizational Design. The Practice Lead will contribute to shaping and aligning structures, processes and roles to Covenant Health’s mission and strategy. This position will lead the design of the organization's jobs, job systems and overall job framework and provide expert level advice and guidance to leaders on job and organization design related initiatives and issues. Description:

As the Practice Lead, Job/Org Design, you will Design and maintain the systems and processes for job creation, job evaluation, and organizational design; You will proactively identify opportunities to assist clients in creating new jobs and designing/redesigning their organizations; Propose projects based on discoveries; Regularly examine and assess Covenant Health’s design; Look for indications in industry forecasting and environmental scans that shifts are coming; Signal when adjustments are necessary; Make recommendations for adjustments to the nature and flow of work. You will also be responsible for managing the planning, execution and implementation of job and organization design projects (e.g., Job Family Project) while working with the Director to determine project prioritization; Defining the scope and objectives for new projects, considering different perspectives and approaches to meeting project objectives; Demonstrating a broad understanding of the internal and external context in which you operate. You will also Propose projects, generate original ideas, learn from others’ ideas, and take initiative; Develop models, frameworks and new approaches; Develop and maintain productive working relationships with both internal team members and clients; Develop connections, build trust and create shared understanding and keep current on job and organization design research and trends. This is a non-unionized position.

Required Qualifications:

Relevant degree (i.e. Organizational Development, Design field etc.). Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency. 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in both organization and job design. 3+ years leading a multidisciplinary professional team to deliver Organizational design initiatives.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Proven knowledge and experience in job/organization design using organization design principles and practices; Knowledge and understanding of operating model archetypes, along with design methodologies, frameworks and processes. Familiarity with primary organizational theories (e.g., systems thinking, chaos theory, adaptive systems); Understands how organizational dynamics, interconnectivity, and constant evolution impact potential design. (i.e., complexity theory); Can synthesize and translate complex data, insights and macro trends into tangible and applicable perspectives that influence business problem solving and solution design; Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and interpersonal skills; Ability to influence leadership without formal authority by using strong consultation and coaching skills; Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with leaders, team members and other stakeholders. Possesses strong analytical skills, with experience in utilizing data to inform decision-making and measure outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal training in Strategy. Certification in Design Thinking.
