Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to speak, read and write fluently in the English language required. Strong communication skills and ability to adapt communication style to meet varying needs. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage residents. Interest and commitment to working with residents experiencing cognitive and physical impairments. Possess skills in arts and crafts, music, drama and/or cultural arts.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post secondary education in a related field preferred. One year experience in continuing care preferred. One year working with recreation programming with a special population preferred. Proficiency with computers preferred. Class 4 driver’s license preferred.
