Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Additional Required Qualifications:Perioperative Nursing Certification course or a minimum of three months of recent operating room experience within the past three years. Must be able to lift 25lbs and have the physical ability to push, pull, bend, and stand for prolonged periods of time (more than 30 minutes). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both spoken and written. Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent assessment and organizational skills. Computer skills including experience with electronic charting and Microsoft Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:At least two year’s operating room experience an asset. Consideration will be given to those who have successfully completed their final nursing practicum in the Operating Room. Canadian Nursing Association (CNA) Certification in Perioperative Nursing an asset.
