As a member of the Environmental Services team, you will make a significant impact by providing high quality cleaning services to residents. You will be performing a variety of tasks to ensure a quality customer experience. Under the general supervision of an NFLES Supervisor, you will use your customer service, teamwork, and organizational skills to work independently and within a team environment by: cleaning, sanitizing, using a variety of Equipements and cleaning compounds. The successful candidate will be able to: Work independently in a fast-paced environment with speed and accuracy. Work under pressure in high stress situations. Communicate effectively with residents and co-workers. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative. Work as an effective, professional team member. Demonstrate resident centered care as outlined in the CH Mission, Vision, and Values. Description: The Resident Services Aide is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting public, patient and office areas including the collection of waste. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE General Support Services Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Basic knowledge of and experience with computer applications. All new employees must be able to attend 1 day of Environmental Services' new employee orientation and complete necessary training on each unit. Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong customer service skills, including the ability to interact with everyone in a respectful manner.
Preferred Qualifications:Ability to read and follow checklist, and work order reports and work in a sanitary manner. Ability to demonstrate responsible judgement in problem solving. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Strong time management and organizational skills to be able to manage workload. A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution within the team. Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
