Required Qualifications: Graduate of a recognized and accredited school of Respiratory Therapy program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration and member in good standing with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration and member in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CRTA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Certificate in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required. Additional courses in Smoking Cessation, Patient Education, Care Maps, Student Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills required. Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of Trec and Trac training preferred. Active membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) preferred. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Preceptoring and area specific training preferred. Two years of current acute care experience in AICU, ER, NICU, Medicine and Surgical Units preferred.
