Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, arts or social sciences required. Combination of work experience and education may be considered. A minimum of five years of experience planning, implementing and evaluating communications strategies and supporting senior leaders or managing significant projects and initiatives required. Proven project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, project budgets, team dynamics and multiple stakeholders.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Clear understanding and proven experience with an integrated communications approach. Ability to think strategically with proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communications skills – written and verbal. Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage timelines and tasks, including potential competitive and conflicting priorities and time pressures. Internal communications expertise and familiarity and proficiency in working with electronic communications vehicles required. Experience leading communications for complex health care or public sector organizations with multiple stakeholders preferred. Ability to assess issues and their strategic impact internally and externally.

Preferred Qualifications:

Healthcare and/or public sector environment experience. Experience with stakeholder and/or community engagement an asset. Experience in change communications an asset. Facilitation skills and the ability to work successfully in a team-based setting.
