In partnership with the Pediatric Kids in Care and Pediatric Psychiatry Clinics located in the St. Margeurite Health Services Centre, the Rehabilitation Medicine department at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital is seeking an SLP II experienced in pediatric speech, language, and communication assessment and intervention. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing trauma-informed and culturally-aware pediatric speech, language, and communication assessments for children from birth to 17 years of age. Working as a consultant member of an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, child life specialist, mental health therapist, and Children Services partners, the SLP II will play a critical role in the timely assessment, intervention, and liaison with community resources to support the highly vulnerable and complex children and families served in these clinics.

Description: The Speech Language Pathologist II provides identification, assessment, planning, coordination and delivery of care services to clients and families affected by communication and swallowing disorders. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology is required. Member in good standing of the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years SLP experience with focus on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders in the pediatric population.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience as member of interdisciplinary team in an ambulatory setting is an asset.
