Required Qualifications:

Completion of Post-Secondary diploma in a related field required in Information Technology, Human Resources or equivalent OR 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience with computerized systems. Project Management or Business Analysis certification preferred. Must have extensive knowledge in business processes surrounding scheduling and the life cycle of an employee. Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint). Experience in the interpretation, administration and application of collective agreements, policies and procedures and employment legislation.


Additional Required Qualifications:

5 years’ experience in staff scheduling or payroll including experience in a unionized environment required. 1-2 years of supervisory experience required. Required to be the internal functional expert to analyze issues and information. Must make decisions or take appropriate action to manage or address escalated issues and other operational matters. Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams. Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills. Must abide by the highest standards of confidentiality. Ability to maintain composure under constant pressure and stress while maintaining a high level of involvement while facing tight deadlines and quick turnaround times. Takes initiative on various aspects of the position and responsible to develop and implement plans as required. Working knowledge of SharePoint, Visio, MS Teams and Zoom. Strong commitment to participation in a collaborative team environment. The incumbent must demonstrate sound knowledge and expertise in project management, strategic/tactical thinking, analysis, relationship building, negotiation, time management and problem solving.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with scheduling software (Kronos ESP and Automated Shift Callout preferred) and human resources information systems. Experience with testing software to support application upgrades. Experience training users on application usage and with development of online modules (Adobe Captivate preferred). Knowledge of Covenant Health business operations and strategic direction. Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
