Required Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Nursing or higher required. Completion of an accredited nursing education program. At least five years recent charge nurse experience in Labour & Delivery Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support- Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Current Fetal Health Surveillance.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Committed to safe, effective and ethical patient care and work practices. Ability to work in a fast paced, highly stressful environment. Able to deescalate tense situations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to participate as an effective member of and lead the inter-professional team. Good organizational skills as well as problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Exercises good judgement in decision making.


Preferred Qualifications:

Previous manager experience and performance management experience an asset. Working knowledge of E-people, ESP, ASC, RMS, Oracle an asset.
