Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Information and Privacy, the Advisor, Process Excellence & Knowledge Management supports the establishment and continuous improvement of Covenant Health’s privacy management program. The Advisor functions as a subject matter expertise on privacy program excellence, evaluation, and knowledge management practices. They collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to support compliance with the Health Information Act (HIA), Protection of Privacy Act (POPA), Access to Information Act (ATIA), and related legislation, as well as Covenant Health policies and standards. Additionally, they will lead the operationalization and continuous improvement of Manager-defined privacy processes, acting as process owner for day-to-day performance, adoption, and quality. The ideal candidate will leverage their policy expertise, program development and change management experience to operationalize workflow and develop ongoing improvement initiatives. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Baccalaureate degree in Legal Studies, Information Management, Business/Public Administration, Data/Analytics or related field. Minimum of five (5) years in privacy/compliance or related fields with privacy program operations exposure. Experience developing policies, SOPs, knowledge content and training materials. Experience with process mapping, workflow design and continuous improvement. Equivalencies in education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong understanding of HIA, POPA, ATIA (or former FOIP) and related regulatory requirements. Demonstrated ability to build dashboards, identify trends and communicate insights. Excellent public speaking, facilitation and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau). Strong interpersonal and consultation skills. Demonstrated discretion with confidential issues. Demonstrated lead-without-authority experience, including facilitation of cross-functional working groups and coaching peers/champions. Ability to turn strategy into execution: building SOPs, training and dashboards with measurable adoption and outcomes.


Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) designation. Advanced presentation/facilitation skills; adept at tailoring content for executives and front-line staff. Experience in health care or regulated environments. Experience managing knowledge repositories and documentation lifecycle.
