Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Masters of Nursing program Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) required. Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of two (2) years related pediatric experience using a trauma informed approach with children and adolescents. Must have the ability to develop therapeutic relationships with individuals, families, communities, nurses, and members of the interdisciplinary team. Must possess a strong desire to work with vulnerable populations in a positive way and have ability to approach every interaction with respect and empathy. Must possess special knowledge and a skill set which includes excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; excellent communication skills; ability to work effectively with a small interdisciplinary team; strong leadership skills; ability to adapt to quickly changing clinical needs; ability to work independently with exceptional time management and organizational skills; excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills;
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of relevant legislation including Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act (CYFEA), the Criminal Code and the Children First Act an asset. Working knowledge and/or experience working with Children and Family Services as asset. Project and change management knowledge and experience preferred.
