Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to read, write, speak and understand English, required. Previous food preparation experience, minimum 2 years Basic computer skills, required. Strong interpersonal skills and training in customer relations. Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadlines. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow directions and guidelines. High standards for cleanliness and sanitation. High levels of honesty and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous food production experience in a care facility or institutional food service setting desired. Experience in a restaurant/cafeteria setting may be considered. Previous baking experience preparing from scratch, various quick breads, cakes, cookies, pie fillings and cooked puddings. WHMIS Certificate. Food Safe Certificate. Customer Service coursework. Ability to multitask, work to deadlines, retain details as well as adapt to changes quickly.
