NOTE: This position is based in Edmonton and requires regular in-office presence. Eligibility for a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office) may be considered upon successful completion of probation! This posting is for 2 positions.

Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards, the Coordinator supports the effective delivery and administration of compensation and benefits programs by coordinating system updates, analyzing data and ensuring accurate implementation of approved total rewards decisions. The role is responsible for actioning job evaluation outcomes, compensation changes and benefit plan updates within e‑People, ensuring alignment with collective agreements, policies and legislative requirements. Through close collaboration with internal HR partners, our shared services provider and external vendors, the Total Rewards Coordinator enables timely, compliant and consistent total rewards practices. The Total Rewards Coordinator provides analytical and operational support for collective bargaining, compensation transparency reporting and program renewals. By maintaining documentation, reporting tools and communication resources, the role contributes to clarity, transparency and informed decision‑making. The Total Rewards Coordinator also delivers knowledgeable client service, supporting employees and leaders with reliable guidance on compensation and benefits programs. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications:

Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Business, Commerce, Human Resources, or a related field. Entry‑level candidates with a degree and some related customer service, healthcare or administrative experience; or a post‑secondary diploma combined with approximately three years of related HR, payroll, or benefits experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Additional Required Qualifications:

The Coordinator brings demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, interpret complex compensation, benefits and collective agreement information and supports effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Using a strong systems and data competency, the Coordinator ensures data integrity, attention to detail and high-quality outputs. They have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and can clearly and respectfully explain compensation, benefits and leave information to diverse audiences. Maintaining professionalism and trust, the Coordinator uses sound judgement in handling confidential and sensitive information within a unionized healthcare environment and works independently and within a collaborative team environment, prioritizing competing demands while maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of benefit administration across the employee lifecycle, including eligibility, enrollment, leaves of absence, return‑to‑work, pension participation and benefit terminations. Additional knowledge of compensation structures and job evaluation, including the ability to accurately implement approved outcomes within an HRIS and an understanding of collective agreements, organizational policies and relevant employment, benefit and pension legislation are all assets.
